Senior Content Designer

 

Echo Media Group, a full-service public relations and social media agency, is seeking a full-time Senior Content Designer to support our Tustin, Calif. team with creating graphics for social media, advertising and public relations projects. The Senior Content Designer will be responsible for creating visual assets and completing projects from concept to completion for a variety of clients and industries. The ideal candidate will have experience with designing social media graphics and social media ads, pitching creative concepts, editing photography and videos, creating animations and formatting layouts and presentations. They will be directly involved with the rest of the Echo Media Group team, working closely with the Account Executives, Junior Content Designer, Graphic Design Interns and the rest of the social media/SEO team.

Responsibilities:

  • As an agency, Echo works on a variety of clients in diverse industries. The Senior Content Designer is expected to be a self-sufficient worker and capable of leading the design direction for multiple client accounts.
  • Create visual assets for clients' social media needs including infographics, illustrations, event promotions, product showcase, and web-based advertisements.
  • Edit photography and videos and incorporate them into social media projects and presentations.
  • Collaborate regularly with the multimedia team to concept original ideas for ongoing client projects.
  • Design original artwork for Echo Media Group's website and social media channels.
  • Creating infographics and designing presentations for new business initiatives
  • Maintain Echo Media Group's visual and creative brand presence across all public relations, social media and reporting materials.
  • Manage multiple graphic design projects within deadlines.

Pluses:

  • Experience with creating animations and videos, ranging from video transitions to illustrations with motion graphics
  • Working knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Experience with digital photography
  • Strong knowledge of current advertising and social media design trends
  • Proficiency with presentation tools such as PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Exceptional writing and copywriting experience
  • Knowledge of public relations, advertising and marketing messaging

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have 2-3 years of experience as a graphic designer, preferably from with agency experience 
  • A link to your portfolio with recent work samples demonstrating strong graphic design skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Exceptional eye for effective informational design layouts
  • Experience designing for popular social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest
  • Self-sufficient worker with flexibility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment

Graphic Design Intern

 

Echo Media Group, a full-service public relations and social media agency, is seeking a graphic design intern to support our Tustin, Calif. team with creating graphics for social media, advertising and public relations projects. This intern will be responsible for creating visual assets and completing projects from concept to completion for a variety of clients and industries. The ideal candidate will have experience with designing social media graphics and social media ads, pitching creative concepts, editing photography and videos, creating animations and formatting layouts and presentations. They will be directly involved with the rest of the Echo Media Group team, working closely with the Senior Content Designer, Account Executives and the social media/SEO team. Internships are both paid and unpaid (college credit) positions.

Details:

• Internships with Echo Media Group usually run 3 months.
• Interns are required to have a minimum of two to three days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. availability.
• Interns will be very ingrained in client work and learn from Echo’s professional staff.
• As an agency, Echo works on a variety of clients in diverse industries. Interns are expected to be self-sufficient workers. They are regularly supervised and evaluated with a clear understanding of duties, responsibilities, and expected results.
• Graphic design interns responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: creating content for social media, designing templates for reports, stock photo research, archiving images, editing photos and videos, creating infographics, designing PowerPoint presentations, assisting with studio lighting and photoshoots, and admin duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, picking up supplies, and other activities as deemed necessary.

Compensation:

• Students working to complete university internship requirements are compensated with school credit

• Those not working toward school credit will be paid $10 per hour (no employment benefits offered)
